If you are facing frequent disconnection while using L2TP/IPsec from China , its possible that ICMP is blocked on your network or Firewall.
1. Change L2TP/IPsec Protocol to PPTP and check if your connection improves
2. Change MTU value from 1400 to 1200 by clicking on "Advanced" option in SwitchVPN Client.
3. Try rebooting your Router/modem and connect to VPN again
4. Try another VPN server like Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Los angeles.
5. Try SSTP Protocol
